
Gerard McChrystal is an Irish saxophonist. To date he has performed in over 30 countries including London's Wigmore Hall, San Francisco Opera House and Suttgart Stattshalle.

He will be performing in Portugal twice this year.He performed in Aveiro in April. In July he will perform the Michael Ball Saxophone concerto with The Portugese Navy Band at the International Festival of Saxophone de Palmela, Portugal and collaborate again with the Quad Quartet.
June sees Gerard give masterclasses and examine at The Royal Academy of Music, Royal College of Music, Trinity College of Music, London and Leeds College of Music.
Gerard has won a Creative Leicestershire Bursary to develop his new solo saxophone project Standup for 2009. Go to the projects page for more information.

His CD of Greg Caffrey's new work Honk! with pianist Mary Dullea has been released on the CMC label, Dublin. The recording is featured on a promotional video Honk!
